O Sovereign Lord, Creator of the heavens and the earth, I come before You in humble adoration, acknowledging the majesty of Your presence. I draw near to You today, inspired by the profound scripture of 2 Chronicles 3:14, where it proclaims, "And he made the vail of blue, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and wrought cherubims thereon." In this sacred text, You reveal the intricate beauty and significance of the veil that separated the holy from the profane in Your temple.

Lord, as I meditate on the vibrant colors mentioned in the scripture — the blue, purple, and crimson — I am reminded of the richness of Your character. The blue, often representative of the heavens, recounts Your sovereignty over all creation. The purple, a color of royalty, reminds me that You are the King of kings, and the crimson speaks to the sacrifice of love that brings restoration and redemption to our lives. Lord, may I never forget the cost of grace that was poured out for us, a crimson sacrifice that cleansed our souls and opened to us the pathway of communion with You.

I want to fully understand the intention behind the veil that once stood in Your temple; it separated the ordinary from the extraordinary, the sinful from the sacred, and the unholy from the holy. May I acknowledge the veil that still exists today in my own life — anything that keeps me from fully embracing Your holiness.

Help me, Lord, to tear down the veils that I have allowed to cloud my vision of You.
