Heavenly Father,

As I come before You today, I reflect on the life of Jotham, who began to reign at the tender age of twenty-five and guided the people of Israel for sixteen years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Jerushah, the daughter of Zadok, a lineage that carries the weight of tradition, faith, and the promises You have made to Your people. I beseech You to allow his example to inspire me, for the call to leadership is both a privilege and a profound responsibility.

Lord, I ask that You pour out Your wisdom upon me as I seek to lead in my own capacity—whether in my family, community, workplace, or wherever my influence reaches. Just as Jotham began his reign at a young age, help me not to underestimate how You can use me despite the years of life I have walked. Let me be bold in my leadership, embracing the chance to serve others diligently according to Your will.

Father, in the face of the challenges that come with leading, I cry out for Your guidance. Jotham was a king who chose to walk in righteousness, and I desire to emulate his commitment to You. Remove any distractions that may cloud my judgment and empower me to lead with integrity, compassion, and strength.

I pray for a heart that seeks to understand the needs of those I lead. May I always listen more than I speak, show empathy in difficult times, and stand firm in my convictions. Help me, like Jotham, to build my leadership on a foundation of faithfulness and to seek counsel from those who are wise and grounded in their relationship with You.

Gracious God, I acknowledge the influence a leader has over their people. I understand that my actions ripple through the lives of others and form pathways of hope or despair. May I choose paths that align with Your heart, bringing glory to Your name! Jotham's reign was marked by the pursuit of righteousness, and I ask for the same passion to burn within me. I pray for the strength to oppose the injustices of this world, to stand against the tide of wrongdoing, and to point others towards Your goodness and grace.

As Jotham reigned during the troubling times of his people, teach me to be unshakeable in my stance for what is right. When faced with opposition, let me understand that my battles are often spiritual and not merely flesh-and-blood. Help me to remember that leadership is often solitary and burdensome, yet You promised to carry our yokes if we come to You for rest. I seek that rest now, Lord, that I might be restored to lead effectively.

Moreover, as I reflect on Jotham's lineage, help me to honor my own heritage and the heritage of those around me. Let me learn from the lives of those who came before me, embracing their wisdom while also seeking to build a legacy of my own in accordance with Your will. May my actions reflect honor and respect for my family, my community, and my God.

Finally, dear Lord, I lift each person who is in a position of influence today. Fill them with the same spirit of discernment, justice, and mercy that was upon Jotham. Let us all strive to lead in such a way that brings peace and unity, echoing the hope of the kingdom of heaven in everything we do.

I pray that my leadership, much like that of Jotham, may one day be a testament to Your faithfulness and an encouragement to all who seek Your face. May my reign—however brief—reflect the eternal reign of Christ in everything.
