Heavenly Father,

In this sacred moment, we come before You with our hearts open, seeking Your divine presence and guidance. As we reflect on the words found in 2 Chronicles 24:8, "And at the king’s commandment they made a chest, and set it without at the gate of the house of the LORD," we are reminded of the profound importance of generosity and the sacredness of the work associated with Your house.

Lord, we acknowledge that throughout history, You have called leaders and followers alike to demonstrate faithful stewardship of the resources You have provided. Just as the king in this passage recognized the need to support the temple and ensure that the worship of You could continue, help us to see the areas in our lives where we too must respond with action to support the work of Your kingdom. Inspire us with a spirit of generosity that flows not from obligation but from a heart full of love and gratitude for all that You have done for us.

Father, just as the chest was made and placed at the gate, we too want to be instruments of Your grace in our community. May our hearts resonate with the desire to contribute to the work of the church and those in need around us. Help us to recognize the needs that exist within our walls and beyond, and empower us to respond without hesitation. Let our giving be a reflection of Your boundless generosity; open our eyes to see opportunities where we can make a difference, whether through our finances, our time, our talents, or our prayers.

Lord, surround us with like-minded individuals who share a vision for Your work and who are eager to support Your missions. May we be encouraged by one another as we set forth in our endeavors, just as those under the king’s command joined together in constructing the chest for the temple.
