O Gracious and Eternal Father,

We come before You in reverent acknowledgment of Your greatness and majesty, mindful of the words from 2 Chronicles 1:13: "Then Solomon came from his journey to the high place that was at Gibeon to Jerusalem, from before the tabernacle of the congregation, and reigned over Israel." Lord, we invoke this verse as a beacon for our understanding of the weighty responsibilities bestowed upon leaders and the profound need for wisdom in governance.

Loving Father, as Solomon returned to Jerusalem after seeking Your face at Gibeon, so we approach You today, coming from our own journeys and struggles in life. Just as Solomon recognized the significance of his encounter with You, we desire to encounter Your divine presence. May we, too, be moved by the Holy Spirit to leave behind any distractions and doubts that hinder our relationship with You. Teach us to value our time spent in Your presence, to seek You earnestly with our whole hearts.

Lord, we plead with You, grant us the wisdom that Solomon sought. You granted him understanding and discerning heart, and we ask for the same gracious outpouring of Your wisdom in our lives, our families, our workplaces, and our communities. Help us to understand difficult matters, to discern between right and wrong, and to guide others in ways that reflect Your truth and love. We recognize that wisdom does not simply come from knowledge, but it is a gift from You, the source of all wisdom. May we cultivate hearts that crave Your guidance, and spirits that hunger for righteousness.

Father, just as Solomon reigned over Israel, we know that we must take our roles seriously, whether we are leading at home, at work, in church, or beyond. Let us be stewards of Your will and instruments of Your peace. We pray for the courage to embrace our responsibilities and the humility to recognize that it is only by Your grace that we can lead effectively. Help us to remember that true leadership is not about authority or control, but about serving others with love and integrity.

Lord, we lift up all leaders today—those in government, in our schools, in communities, and within our churches. May they be inspired by Your wisdom, seek counsel in Your Word, and strive to reflect Christ-like leadership in every decision they make. Infuse them with discernment and insight to navigate the complexities of their roles and the challenges of their times. Let them not seek their own glory, but to honor You in every action.

As Solomon reflected a kingdom of peace and prosperity, let us strive for harmony in our relationships and our communities. Help us to be peacemakers, sowing seeds of hope and reconciliation instead of division. Teach us how to build bridges rather than walls, giving us the words and actions that will heal the wounds of our society. May our lives reflect Your love, just as Solomon’s reign reflected Your blessings.

Finally, Lord, we pray for the same fervor Solomon demonstrated in his pursuit of You. Continue to ignite in us a passion for Your Word, a commitment to prayer, and a willingness to serve. May our journeys lead us back to You, from Gibeon to Jerusalem, as we continuously seek Your presence, guidance, and wisdom. Lead us to the place where we can fully embrace our roles in the body of Christ, contributing with our gifts to Your Kingdom work.
