Heavenly Father,

We come before You today in reverence and gratitude, reflecting on the profound words of 1 Samuel 7:12, where Your servant Samuel set up a stone of remembrance, calling it Eben-ezer, saying, “Hitherto hath the LORD helped us.” O gracious Lord, the depth of this statement echoes through the corridors of time, a testimony of Your faithfulness and mercy in our lives and the lives of Your people. We pause now to acknowledge all that You have done for us, for indeed, life’s journey reveals countless moments where Your hand has guided, supported, and uplifted us.

As we gather in prayer, we are reminded that each day is a gift, and every breath we take is a testament to Your sustaining power. Lord, we lift our hearts in thankfulness for the ways You have intervened in our lives. From the trials we have faced, we can clearly see Your guiding light that led us through the valleys of despair. We have fought battles we never thought we could win, yet through Your strength, we emerged victorious.

Oh, how often we have wandered in uncertainty, yet You remained our shepherd, leading us back to the path of righteousness. Nearer to You, O Lord, we can say, “Hitherto hath the LORD helped us.” Your faithfulness is depicted in each stone of Eben-ezer from our own lives—a symbol of Your presence, reminding us of what You have accomplished within us. We ask that You help us to remember and cherish every bit of joy and every moment of struggle as stepping stones toward deeper faith.

Lord, help us to see the reminders in our lives, the way You have turned our mourning into dancing, and our fears into faith. May we continually set up stones of remembrance for others to see, just as Samuel did, inviting them to partake in the knowledge of Your greatness and help. As we look back, may we be emboldened for the future, knowing that You are unchanging in Your nature—mighty to save and ever-present in our time of need. We repent for the times we have doubted, questioned Your provision, or failed to acknowledge Your goodness. We pray for Your forgiveness and the grace to grow in our faith.

Father, as we reflect on our past experiences, help us to set our gaze on the future. Grant us the courage to trust in Your unfailing promises. When we contemplate the challenges that lie ahead, remind us of the stones we have already set down—the moments when You delivered us and blessed us. May those memories fuel our hope and renew our strength. Let us declare, “Hitherto hath the LORD helped us,” with every trial we encounter.

We lift our requests before You, knowing that as you have helped us in the past, You will also continue to help us in the days to come. Empower us with the wisdom to seek You first in all things, understanding that it is in our weakness that Your strength is made perfect. Consciously, we reach out for Your hand, eager to experience the full measure of Your grace in our everyday lives.

Lastly, Lord, as we commit ourselves to the path ahead, may our lives become a living testimony of Your goodness to others. Let the stones we lay become encouragement for those around us. We desire to shine Your light, reminding the world that You are our everlasting help. With each sunrise, may we awake with hearts full of praise and gratitude, forever devoted to glorifying You in every aspect of our lives.
