O Lord Almighty, Sovereign God of Creation, we come before You with bowed hearts, recognizing Your sovereignty in our lives much like how You directed Saul. In 1 Samuel 10:8, You instructed Saul to wait for Your divine intervention: "And thou shalt go down before me to Gilgal; and, behold, I will come down unto thee, to offer burnt offerings, and to sacrifice sacrifices of peace offerings: seven days shalt thou tarry, till I come to thee, and shew thee what thou shalt do." As we meditate upon this scripture, we see the immense wisdom in Your call to wait upon You.

Father, we often find ourselves engulfed in hurry and anxiety. The world around us praises immediacy and quick resolutions, yet Your Word teaches us the beauty of waiting—of trusting in Your perfect timing. Help us, Lord, to be obedient servants who listen to Your voice and follow Your commands without hesitation. Just as Saul was called to descend to Gilgal, we, too, are called to specific places in our lives—places where we can encounter You more profoundly.

As we set our sights on what lies ahead, we recognize that our journey is often fraught with uncertainties. Yet, when we look unto You, our Rock and Foundation, we gain confidence. Teach us, Precious God, to find peace in our waiting. Let our hearts not be troubled by impatience but rather filled with hope and expectation that You will indeed come down to us. May we deeply understand that the periods of waiting serve a purpose in our spiritual growth.

Lord, in verses of waiting, we often want to rush or take matters into our own hands, yet You remind us that sacrifice comes through surrender—surrender of our own agendas and timelines. Just as the burnt offerings and peace offerings represent a sacrifice, remind us that our waiting is an act of worship.

Help us to tarry in prayer and supplication before You, faithfully anticipating Your revelation. Each day let us be in Your Word, seeking direction and purpose. Fill our minds with Your truths that calm the restless spirit. Let our hearts be set on You, knowing that You are working all things for our good and for Your glory. For You see the end from the beginning, and that alone gives us hope.

As we tarry as Saul was instructed, may we find ourselves surrounded by Your presence. May we be like David who longed for Your presence, saying, "One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life" (Psalm 27:4). Lord, help us to see our time of waiting not as a pause but as a preparation for what You have in store for us. Let every moment of waiting be bathed in prayer, seeking not just answers, but seeking You.

O God, unveil our eyes to see the opportunities around us during our wait. Teach us to serve others with the time we have. Your purpose does not stifle our desires; rather, it elevates them within Your plans. May our character be formed in these moments, building us into vessels ready for the calling You have on our lives.

We thank You, Blessed Savior, for Your faithful promise that You will indeed show us what we shall do. As we trust in Your guidance, give us discerning hearts and willing spirits to heed Your instructions. We commit our waiting and our longing into Your mighty hands, believing that You will fulfill every promise in Your perfect timing.
