O Most Gracious and Sovereign Lord,

We come before You today with humble hearts, seeking Your guidance and wisdom as we journey through the paths of life that You have laid out for us. We are reminded of the words spoken in 1 Samuel 10:3 – "Then shalt thou go on forward from thence, and thou shalt come to the plain of Tabor, and there shall meet thee three men going up to God to Beth-el, one carrying three kids, and another carrying three loaves of bread, and another carrying a bottle of wine."

Father, just as Saul was instructed to move forward, help us to embrace movement in our lives. Life brings us challenges and changes, and at times we may hesitate to proceed, but we know that You command us to press on. Lord, grant us the strength and courage to advance in our journeys, fully trusting in Your divine purpose. Help us to lift our eyes to the heavens and recognize that every step we take is under Your watchful care.

As we move forward, lead us to our own ‘plain of Tabor’—a place of reassurance where we can find Your peace and presence. Lord, may we recognize when we arrive at such sacred junctures, where Your plans intersect with our lives in profound ways. We thank You for the divine appointments You orchestrate along our roads; teach us to be aware and sensitive to Your voice.

In this passage, You provide a beautiful imagery of meeting three men, each carrying gifts as they journey to worship You. O Lord, give us eyes to see the men and women You place in our paths; remind us that each encounter holds potential for blessings, lessons, or divine providences. Just like these men—each bringing something unique to the table—may we recognize the diversity of gifts and blessings that are represented in the people we meet.

We pray for those whom we may have yet to meet but whom You have ordained to be a part of our lives. May Your divine providence go before us, ensuring that we encounter those who are meant to uplift us or even challenge us to grow. Let us be open-hearted and willing to receive what they bring, may it be guidance, encouragement, or love.

Lord, we reflect on the gifts these men carried: three kids, three loaves of bread, and a bottle of wine. Each symbolizes nourishment, sustenance, and provision. As we gather in Your presence, help us to be generous in spirit. Lead us to share freely with others from what You have given to us. We acknowledge that every good gift is from above and that we are called to extend these blessings to those around us.

Help us to be mindful of both our physical and spiritual needs as well, Lord. Just as these men went to Beth-el—known as the house of God—may we continually seek to draw nearer to You. We pray that our hearts would be filled with the hunger for spiritual sustenance and that we would seek You as our source of life. Let us make our journey one that prioritizes coming into Your presence, ensuring that our lives are characterized by worship and thanksgiving.

Finally, Father, as we journey on this path You have set before us, may we be ever aware of the abundance You provide. May the three loaves of bread remind us that even in scarcity, You are our provider. May the bottle of wine signify joy and celebration in our lives that come from knowing You intimately. And may we walk back to our own Beth-els, refreshed and spiritually revived through our encounters with others and our time spent with You.
