O Sovereign Lord, Mighty in Wisdom and Power,

I come before You today with a humble heart, seeking Your divine presence and guidance as I reflect on the profound life of Your servant Solomon, whose acts and wisdom were recorded in the holy scriptures. As it is written in 1 Kings 11:41, "And the rest of the acts of Solomon, and all that he did, and his wisdom, are they not written in the book of the acts of Solomon?" I pause to meditate on these words, recognizing that the wisdom Solomon possessed came directly from You. In his reign, he requested knowledge above material wealth, and You granted him wisdom that surpassed all men of his time.

Lord, as I look upon the legacy of Solomon, I am reminded of the value of wisdom—wisdom that begins with the fear of You. I beseech You, O Lord, for a spirit of wisdom and understanding in my own life. Teach me, Father, to prioritize wisdom over fleeting pleasures and riches. Surround me with Your truth, and let it be the foundation of all my thoughts and actions. I desire a heart that seeks You, just as Solomon sought You at Gibeon, when he asked for an understanding heart to judge Your people and to discern between good and evil (1 Kings 3:9).

In my daily life, I confront decisions that require profound insight, and just as Solomon was faced with challenges, I ask that You guide me in the paths of righteousness. Bestow upon me the same capacity to discern truth from error, to judge wisely, and to act justly. Much like Solomon’s wisdom allowed him to rule Israel with integrity, I wish to utilize the wisdom You grant me to be a light in my community, a beacon of hope and righteousness.

I pray for the presence of Your Holy Spirit to inspire my thoughts, to articulate my words, and to direct my actions. Let me be slow to speak, quick to listen, and most importantly, ever mindful of how my decisions align with Your will. Help me to seek wise counsel from those You have placed in my path, for in the multitude of counselors there is safety (Proverbs 11:14). May I recognize that wisdom is not merely knowledge but the applied understanding of that knowledge in a manner that glorifies You.

Heavenly Father, I acknowledge that Solomon, too, faced his trials, sometimes straying from the path You laid out for him. I ask for the strength to learn from his journey, to remain faithful, and to guard my heart against the distractions and temptations of this world. May I always endeavor to keep my eyes focused on You and to remember that my wisdom must lead to actions that honor You.

Let my quest for wisdom not be for personal gain or acclaim, but to uplift those around me, sharing the love and truth of Jesus Christ. Let my legacy echo with acts of kindness, mercy, and justice. Just as Solomon's deeds were recorded for generations to learn from, I pray my actions will tell the story of a life transformed by Your love and wisdom.

Lord, engrave upon my heart the importance of reflecting upon Your Word—teaching me that these acts of wisdom are not just ancient records but vital lessons for my life today. Inspire me to seek out those lessons, to apply them, and to live in a way that invites others to see Your glory.

Thank You, O Lord, for the gift of wisdom. May my life be a book of acts that brings joy to Your heart and inspires others to seek a deeper relationship with You. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.
