O Lord, Almighty God, Creator of heaven and earth, we come before You with humbled hearts, recalling the grandeur of Your works and the wisdom bestowed upon Your servant Solomon. Just as the Queen of Sheba traveled from a distant land, compelled by the fame of Solomon’s wisdom and his great understanding of Your ways, we come to You seeking the same wisdom, yearning to understand Your truth and the depths of Your knowledge.

We are reminded from Your Holy Word in 1 Kings 10:1, ‘And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the LORD, she came to prove him with hard questions.’ Lord, we acknowledge that even the wisest and most learned among us are but mere reflections of Your infinite understanding. The fame of Solomon was rooted deeply in his reverence for Your name, and we pray, Lord, that we too may seek to bask in the glory of knowing You and Your will for our lives.

As the queen approached Solomon with her difficult inquiries, we echo her determination, for we desire to wrestle with our own questions of faith, purpose, and understanding. Grant us the courage to pursue You with the same fervor and urgency. We ask that You sharpen our minds and our spirits so we may engage with the fundamental questions that stir within us. Like the Queen of Sheba, may we arrive at Your feet, not to seek answers that puff us up in pride, but to find the heartfelt truths that draw us closer to Your heart.

We pray for wisdom, Lord, that we might discern between good and evil, the transient and the everlasting. May Your Holy Spirit guide us in our inquiries. Teach us, Lord, how to ask the hard questions—to face our doubts and uncertainties with faith, seeking deeper knowledge of You and the plans You have laid before us. Help us to approach these questions with humility, recognizing our limitations, and seeking Your divine insights that lead us into understanding.

As the Queen of Sheba witnessed the grandeur of Solomon’s house, the prosperity of his kingdom, and the precision of his wisdom, we ask for our lives to be a reflection of the goodness and glory of You, Lord. May our homes, our interactions, and our communities radiate Your light, drawing those around us to inquire about our source of wisdom and joy. Let all that we do be done for Your glory, that others may hear of our faithful witness and desire to learn of You as she desired to learn of Solomon.

We pray for those who are also on a journey of inquiry, seeking answers to hard questions in their own lives. May they find the courage to come before You, just as she did, and find the wisdom they seek. Let us be vessels of encouragement and support for one another, nurturing a community that boldly asks difficult questions and earnestly seeks the truth.

Lord, just as Solomon was revered for his wisdom, let our hearts echo the wisdom of Your Word, that we might reflect Your truth in a world that often seeks to distort it. Help us to remember that every question we ask, every doubt we face, can be transformed into an opportunity for growth and deeper connection with You.

So we approach Your throne, O Lord, with our hearts open, ready to receive the answers to our questions and the wisdom for our lives as we seek to honor Your Name, just as the Queen of Sheba sought and found in Solomon. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.
