Heavenly Father,

Lord, we thank You for the gift of heritage. Each name recorded in Your Scriptures signifies a life lived, struggles endured, and victories claimed. Your Word tells us about the lineages that shaped the history of Your people, the Israelites. Remind us of the lineage of courage that emanated from these names, and inspire us, as they were inspired, to press on, never losing sight of our purpose in You.

Eladah, whose name means 'God has known,' speaks to the intimate relationship You desire with each of us. O Sovereign Lord, help us to grasp this truth—that You know us, our hearts, our pains, our joys, and our desires. Encourage us to cultivate a personal relationship with You, to reach out in prayer, and to know that we are never forgotten.

Your Word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path (Psalm 119:105). So let us not merely read these genealogies as history but as active invitations to connect with our spiritual pedigree, rooting ourselves in faith, and transforming our lives in service to others.
