Heavenly Father,

I come before You today in humble recognition of Your goodness and grace, as illustrated in the moment captured in 1 Chronicles 21:23, where Ornan offered all he had to King David, saying, "Take it to thee, and let my lord the king do that which is good in his eyes: lo, I give thee the oxen also for burnt offerings, and the threshing instruments for wood, and the wheat for the meat offering; I give it all." Lord, what a powerful demonstration of generosity and willingness to serve! Today, I seek to reflect that same spirit of surrender and abundance in my own life.

Lord, I recognize that all that I have is a gift from You. The very breath I breathe, the strength within me, and even the possessions I hold dear, are divine blessings meant to be used for Your glory. Ornan’s willingness to offer his land, oxen, and resources so freely to David reflects a heart that understands the importance of sacrifice and the value of offering to You what is valuable in our lives. Help me to model that same heart in my existence.

As I reflect on Ornan’s generosity, I pray for a spirit of generosity to be cultivated within me. May I not cling tightly to my earthly treasures, but rather release them freely, understanding that true wealth is found in giving rather than receiving. May I recognize opportunities to provide not only material blessings but also emotional and spiritual support, just as Ornan provided the sacrifice that David needed to honor You. By allowing me to serve, may I reflect Your love and compassion.

Father, let me also embrace the intent behind Ornan's offering to King David. It was not merely about the physical gifts given; it was about the heart that desired to serve and please the king. Similarly, I ask that You help me to approach my relationship with You with the same enthusiasm and fervor. Help me to do what is good in Your sight, seeking always to serve and bring honor to Your name through my actions, my words, and my very life.

Lord, I recognize that surrendering my desires and ambitions to You can be challenging. Just as Ornan willingly relinquished his goods, help me mirror that trust in You. May I become fully aware that every surrender, every sacrifice, brings me closer to Your heart. May I learn to trust that You govern my life with perfect wisdom and love, and that offering my all to You unlocks the door to authentic peace and fulfillment.

As I conclude this prayer, I bring before You any burdens that weigh upon my heart—my struggles, my fears, and my insecurities. I entrust them into Your hands, knowing that with each offering I make, I declare my faith in Your divine provision. I give it all to You, Lord. Whatever You require of me, I trust that You will equip and empower me to fulfill those desires.

In the spirit of Ornan and the generosity exemplified in his actions, may my life be a testament of giving, love, and sacrifice. Thank You, Lord, for hearing my prayer. May I walk in Your ways, reflecting Your goodness to the world.
