Almighty and Sovereign Lord,

We come before Your throne with deep reverence for who You are—our Creator, our Guide, our Shepherd. We reflect upon the scripture from 1 Chronicles 10:14, "And enquired not of the LORD: therefore he slew him, and turned the kingdom unto David the son of Jesse." This verse serves as a stark reminder of the dire consequences that arise when we neglect to seek Your wisdom and guidance.

Lord, we acknowledge that Saul, the first king of Israel, faced dire straits because he turned away from Your voice and failed to inquire of You. He made choices that led to his downfall and the loss of his kingdom. Help us, dear Lord, to learn from Saul’s example. We do not want to stray from Your path nor make decisions without first laying our hearts bare before You in prayer, seeking Your insight and direction.

As we embark on the journey of our lives, may we be ever mindful of the need to inquire of You, Lord. We pray for the courage to humble ourselves before You and to trust in Your perfect wisdom over our own understanding. Remind us, O Lord, that seeking You in prayer and supplication anchors our hearts amid life’s tempestuous storms. Allow us to cast our anxieties upon You, for You care for us deeply.

As we turn to You in prayer, Lord, we are reminded of the importance of community. Surround us with fellow believers who will encourage and challenge us to seek Your will collectively.
