Picture an attentive man of Middle Eastern descent, presumably Peter, with a strong gaze upwards. A large cloth, apparently square and held at each corner by a celestial being, is descending from the sky. Within the cloth, a diverse array of animals are being transported: a pig, a horse, a dog, a cat, a lion, two vultures, an eagle, and an alligator. There are no further creatures or items in the sheet. The whole scene is composed with minute, distinct dots of pure color, a technique hailing from the 19th-century Post-Impressionist era. The attitude of the composition is one of respect and devotion towards Christian beliefs.
