While we feel like we may be wandering aimlessly through the 'mountains and valleys' of our lives, we are being led by God towards our purpose. This leads us to contemplate what it means to endure in our lives. Perseverance is a hallmark of faith. Paul writes to the Romans in 5:3-5 (KJV), "And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope: and hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us." Just as Saul’s journey was a part of God’s divine plan, our struggles and endurance shape us and guide us to our divine purpose.
